See below for a call from the CoE CDMSI for input into their draft 
guidelines on personal data processing. To recall, the IRP Coalition is 
an observer in the Council Of Europe's Media and Information Society 
Committee which provides us with the opportunity to provides comments 
and feedback at the drafting stages.

individuals with regard to the processing of personal data in a world of 
big data”.  As the deadline of *25 November* is too short to formulate a 
CDMSI position, we will pass on any comments you may have to the T-PD 
Bureau directly.  Please see more details in the T-PD Bureau message below.

In view of the 40^th T-PD Bureau meeting (Strasbourg,30 November - 2 
December 2016), please find enclosed the “Draft guidelines on the 
protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data 
in a world of big data”.

The draft guidelines have been revised on the basis of the discussions 
held during the 33^rd Plenary meeting (Strasbourg, 29 June - 1 July 
2016) as well as the 39^th meeting of the Bureau of the Consultative 
Committee (Paris, 5-7 October 2016).

You are invited to send any *comments* you have on this draft document 
by *25 November 2016* (COB)to dataprotection at coe.int 
<mailto:dataprotection at coe.int>

Please note thatthe draft document and comments received will be 
examined and discussed during the 40th T-PD Bureau meeting, on 30 
November 2016 and a revised final draft will be circulated for adoption 
by written procedure.

We also have the pleasure to inform you that the new Data Protection web
