[IRP] Gearing up for the OECD...and TEDxHarlem, October 18

Hi and FYI,
The Dynamic Coalition on Internet Rights and Principles has a 1 hour slot at TEDxHarlem, October 18, 2011, at the Apollo Theater in New York City.
Caucus Chair Dixie Hawtin will promote the '10 Internet Rights and Principles' beta charter, available in ~20 languages already, then.
The reason for this email is that there is an TEDxHarlem program committee conference call tomorrow evening. I presume it is safe for me to say then I am speaking also for a broader loose civil society coalition which made waves at eG8; some of whom may attend and/or work with us to get word out, before and after event, correct?
And, please consider this your informal invitation to TEDxHarlem.
best,
Lee McKnight
PS: I will report more on this Friday when I hopefully can join the call if only briefly.

Hi Everyone,
Just want to give a hand again to everyone who made the Civil Society Statement to the eG8/G8 such a success. I was at Personal Democracy Forum last week and a number of people were talking about it and the power of civil society to shift the global political agenda. After the eG8, a number of people expressed interest in bringing civil society organizations like ours together in an effort to exert greater influence at future key decision making points.
At Access, we're beginning to gear up for the OECD meeting at the end of this month. For those who are interested, shall we jump on a call on Friday at 11 AM EST to discuss what civil society is/should be doing around this event?
I've found skype to be unreliable with large groups, so lets plan on using Access' conference line: (605) 562-3000, the access code is: 560957# . Looking forward to working on this and seeing some of you at CFP this week.
Cheers,
Jochai
