Dear all,

I hope you all had a great weekend despite the troubled start of 2021. I hope that you and yours are keeping well and safe. I am sorry to see that the election form has shown to be a less secure option than we had anticipated.

Please accept my apologies for this. A double apology Marianne, Mohamed, June, Santosh and Raashi for the trouble.

Thank you so much Michael for all the hours and effort you have been putting on the nomination / election process throughout the festive season and cutting short your well-deserved holiday. It is great to see that we all take the IRPC governance seriously and that we all agree that it of utmost importance to have a fair and transparent election system so that the SC is represented by the candidates that the members of this list have chosen. Mistakes do happen and the most important here is to put things right, so please bear with us while we look into a solution that is secure and anonymous. We will be back very soon.

Best wishes and once again please accept my sincere apologies for the oversight,
Minda

Dear all,

bed to disagree. There are platforms that allow voting in a fair manner.

I would not like to be in the position of any of the candidates - this is not the way to conduct the choice of a business lunch, let alone an election.

Can we do it the proper way?

Please cancel this and restart the process in a transparent and fair manner that honors those who volunteered.

Hi Mohamed and all,

The word documents voting will be a hustle for compiling the result. I will not encourage we go that way. As Michael said, let us all endeavour to vote only once, so we can have a fair and free election.

I do not know it will be good option if you share the form in word documents and voters fill it in and send it back to you

Dear Mohamed, all:

Thank you for pointing this out. Unfortunately, to technically limit the vote to only one response would mean that each individual would have to sign in with a Google address, something not everyone has nor should they be forced to use.

As such, I am operating on an honour system that people will only vote once. In case someone has another suggestion, please do share.

Best,
-Michael

Dea Michal , hope this email finds you well,I have observed that a person could vote several times , as i voted previously but when press the link you have shared here it allowed me to access the voting form again which means everyone can vote several time, especially the form in anonymous. I think the form needs to be accessible only for one time .

Kind Regards

Dear all,

The Election Poll is officially open, and will close on 28 January 2021.

This year we have six candidates for a Steering Committee position (2021-2023).

Having your support and input really helps all those on the IRPC Steering Committee to prepare for this coming year. It also keeps us inspired to continue working in support of human rights and principles for the Internet from the Charter's perspective, but also in support of all the achievements from others in this domain.

You can access the ballot at: https://forms.gle/rBxQxi3dZWZMPCo47

In case you have any issues or questions, please reply to this email as soon as possible.

Your participation counts, so thank you in advance.

Best,

-Michael Oghia
