Subject: [IRPCoalition] IRPC Participation at IGF 2019: Updates

Dear all,
Following on my last email we have few updates our participation at the IGF in Berlin next week:
There is a last-minute change to our booth assignment at the IGF Village: will be in booth 49 now, for the whole IGF. It has not been updated on Sched yet, but we can find the most up-to-date information on the website<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2019-village>. This is very good news, as we have seven translated versions of the Charter available in print to display there, thanks to the generous support of the Swiss Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM). This includes the newest French translation, which will be launched on Wednesday 27th during our annual meeting. Please feel free to visit us there: the layout of the booth seems very good, and it includes a meeting table and a screen!
Please join us on Wednesday 27 November for:

  * the Annual IRPC meeting which includes an important and youth-led breakout session “Internet Futures and the Climate Crisis - Paths to Sustainability or Extinction?”<https://sched.co/SU3a> and the launch of the French edition of the Charter (11:30 - 13:00, Estrel Saal B). If you would like to join a specific break out group, you can let us know by filling in the linked form<https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=DQSIkWdsW0yxEjajBLZtrQAAAAAAAAAAAAFHsE15WelUQ0ZSRVdDN0oyOFNCRVBEQkVKMkw3TDRaVS4u>.
  * WS #282 Data Governance by AI: Putting Human Rights at Risk?<https://sched.co/SU22>, this session on relationship between AI and international human rights law and legal standards, co-organised with Amnesty International Germany (16:40 - 18:10, Raum II) will have a BBC Question Time<https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006t1q9> format. We welcome your question for the panel: just send it here or via our info at irpcharter.org<mailto:info at irpcharter.org> email
On Thursday 28 November, please come along to the Dynamic Coalitions' Main Session, “Joint Efforts to achieve the SDGs <https://sched.co/SU44> “ (Main Hall), where we will be discussing our work in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (achievements and plans towards 2025).
Attached are a few pictures that can be used for the promotion of the sessions on social networks. Our main hashtags are #IGF2019 and #netrights, but we are also using IGF-recommended hashtags to promote each session (as per the images attached).

IRPC Steering Committee elections
We will be opening the electoral process at our annual meeting on the 27th November, and we will be sending more information on how to join.

I look forward to meeting some of you in Berlin next week.

Best wishes and safe travels,
Minda
on behalf of the IRPC Steering Committee
