PROCESS

Hi Robert/Marianne,

I would like to nominate myself a steering commitee member of IRPC.

========

I am the manager of Hivos’ MENA region programme on Internet Governance
(IGMENA), responsible for its design and implementation. I contributed in
defining the policy challenges and prospects of Internet Governance in the
Arab region and participated in designing the Internet Governance Roadmap
of HR issues as an independent consultant with the UN. I worked as a senior
policy analyst with the International Communication Union (ITU) and was
associated with DiploFoundation as a tutor in the capacity building program
on Internet Governance and as the coordinator of Internet Governance
Research Projects. I am a member of the UN’s advisory group of the Arab
Internet Governance Forum responsible for the Human Rights agenda; a member
the IRPC since 2009, and the project lead of the "Click Rights Campaign",
which promotes the ten principles of the IPRC charter in the MENA region in
Arabic, Farsi and Kurdish. I have also supported and proof read the full
translation of the IRPC charter into Arabic. I participated in 8 IGF’s,
recently co-organised and spoke at an IRPC workshop in Istanbul. My vision
for the charter includes promoting it further among governments in the
upcoming Arab Internet Governance Forum, I believe that the charter has the
potential to be an instrumental tool in influencing policies which affect
the full enjoyment of Human Rights on the Internet.
