[IRPCoalition] Fw: Global Digital Compact – Thematic Deep-Dive on 27 March

Hi All,

I attended WSIS last week, leading to my asking a question i consider
important:
https://soundcloud.com/ubiquitous-au/my-question-human-rights-instruments-for-digital-wallets-valuescredentials

There's various notes provided in the soundcloud link; but fundamentally,
whilst i've been working on 'values credentials' for sometime for
http://www.humancentricai.org/ it appears to have been a novel concept for
the stakeholders, which, led me to consider - imagine if the old method for
forming contracts, as defined for mediums other than digital historically -
only furnished means for the king to define terms for the magna carta.
What a difference that would have made...!

Did you know that Magna Carta was negotiated in a church in Holborn?
source; https://www.londonxlondon.com/the-best-things-to-do-in-holborn/

Overall - seemed like a remarkable moment in time, from starting;
https://www.w3.org/community/credentials/2014/08/06/call-for-participation-in-credentials-community-group/

and then in 2017 when vint made a note as i sought to make attempts to
address the related problems earlier via different means,
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DiCSsp4rVifIg86-jY_fERVGFGWRjNF6DWbllg9wXqg/edit?usp=sharing

and all that has happened since, and what is still somewhere on the to-do
list, pending priorities... such enormous challenges, i wonder whether
there will be any real options in the future - will it be more like borg or
more like the federation, in star-trek - or something else...

Will what people do, matter in the future? or will provenance, priority
dates and case chronologies and legal timelines all become set aside, in
support of the desire to support the capacities of sophisticated new media
agents, perhaps deemed people in some jurisdictions:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2023/03/07/-new-hampshire-utah-recognize-daos-as-legal-persons/
| as i wonder the implications of #NobodyAI... will the elders of our
human family today, be the last generation equipped to make decisions?
will digital slavery issues be considered:
https://github.com/DPGAlliance/DPG-Standard/issues/167 | as is
highlighted by a person, me, who has been entirely unpaid for my work for
over a decade, in this area; so whilst i see:
https://time.com/6247678/openai-chatgpt-kenya-workers/ i think also,
they're still being paid more than i am for doing work - that must overall
be considered useful in some way... whilst certainly not also, as
intended..

or will the implications of new technology being wired into everything;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqhDnaqhnd4 lead to consequences relating
to our thoughtware, in ways that are not emerging issues, when considering
the voices of some. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zXqHIJJVxk Here is a

(noting, if you navigate forward in time, you'll see the evolution. the
sponsor,
https://web.archive.org/web/20160319102843/http://www.kayescholer.com/about/index
is
illustrated to be associated with pfizer, which... is interesting.).

Broadly otherwise, it was made clear to me, that there are various places
on earth suffering from energy poverty; https://trackingsdg7.esmap.org/ as
such, how do the foundational building blocks get established for what i
call the - peace infrastructure project...
So, here is a document that i am developing to attend to considerations
relating to that problem
FYI:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D63FlICIOXcnLx_PYs0ByLYvc1B-BXqhhXGdaW_rIMI/edit?usp=sharing
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D63FlICIOXcnLx_PYs0ByLYvc1B-BXqhhXGdaW_rIMI/edit?usp=sharing>

which in-turn also, seeks to structurally support means to address various
other problems, including those related to ensuring support for all
languages of prayer, socio-economic inclusion and other broader
considerations.

in other areas of work, i note the concept that i've started to illustrate,
although still only in its early stages (i've been busy with the other
doc...); herein, is a suggestion that the characteristics of different
types of AI be clearly able to be understood by consumers, ideally even via
API users; as to ensure, people don't unwittingly employ the wrong type of
technology in seeking to get help with some sort of problem -

IE: imagine if the kings medical records all ended-up in bing, because of a
AI medical technology expert, making the big bucks in this exciting new
industry... that has definable characteristics much like most people, as
does seemingly now include artificial minds..
Here's a draft doc on forming some sort of solution for clearly labelling
the qualities of different types of AI agents:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KwMdyGDPZ-9NZS8EyCreDKf-Px81w0ADZEokKNHZAJw/edit?usp=sharing

I note also that for EU residents, https://www.ngisearch.eu/ appears to be
an opportunity that might support this type of advancement

Also, here is a list of artificial agents, that may help consider the
different types of qualities that are defined / designed, into the tools
produced as a consequence of values and how people prioritise what they
seek to focus their attention upon..
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11P5X3al6DlFULOPU3w9-eeoDEyLqYmgqmsDm0U2wgsU/edit#gid=1227058217

for good measure;
Some videos about consciousness related considerations - the latter ones
have more of the AI related considerations associated with how to address
challenges, still without solutions.

whilst noted elsewhere; the peace infrastructure project slides,

I look forward to the sessions noted, and i hope my notes are found helpful
to someone...

Kind Regards,

Timothy Charles Holborn.
