Dear all,

I hope this email finds you well. Just a quick note to wish everyone a good virtual IGF 2020 and to share our e-flyer, which is attached to this email.

If you have not registered already, you can still do at anytime here<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2020-registration>. Please be aware that you will need to add the sessions you would like to attend to your personal schedule and from there you can request the link to attend sessions. These will be available 24 hours before the session and will be sent to your email address.

The Coalition will kick off this year’s participation at the Internet Governance Forum this Friday, 13.10 UTC with the IRPC Annual meeting, which includes a discussion on the Charter’s Article 4: Sustainable Internet Governance & the Right to Development<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2020-sustainable-internet-governance-the-right-to-development>
Following our meeting last year in Berlin, where we briefly discussed the possibility of revisiting the Charter and how it addresses the environmental sustainability of the ICT and its links to Human Rights in general and to the Right to Development in particular, this the opportunity to fully engage in this discussion. We are very pleased that our diverse group of invited speakers includes a member and an ex-member of the IRPC Steering Committee (Rigobert Kenmogne and Hanane Boujemi), youth representatives (Youth4Digital Sustainability and Youth Coalition on Internet Governance (YCIG)), representatives of the technical community, and our representative DG Connect, European Commission, Ilias Iakovidis, will follow up on the excellent discussion at EuroDIG Plenary 4 last June. Marianne, who is coordinating and moderating the meeting this year, will follow up soon with some more updates on this important discussion.

The IRPC, represented by SC member Michael J. Oghia, will also be joining the IGF 2020 Main Session ENVIRONMENT<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2020-main-session-environment> (09 November, 15.40 UTC). Michael will be moderating this session, which will be the first main session addressing this new track at the IGF.

On Wednesday 11 November, theIGF 2020 DCs Main Session: Socio-economic recovery after the Covid19 crisis – Dynamic Coalitions’ role<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2020-dcs-main-session-socio-economic-recovery-after-the-covid19-crisis-%E2%80%93-dynamic>is not to be missed. The IRPC will be represented by our SC member June Parris.

Finally, our last session WS #266 Sustainable #netgov By Design: Environment & Human Rights<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2020-ws-266-sustainable-netgov%C2%A0by-design-environment-human-rights>
will be on Monday 16 November, 14.00. Michael is coordinating and moderating this session, which will complement the discussion on Article 4 this Friday. He has put together a very strong group of speakers, which includes representatives of the European Parliament (Alexandra Lutz), the private sector (Pia Wiche) and the civil society (Weronika Koralewska and APC member Y. Z. Ya’u).

We are also at IGF Village, booth #3: IGF 2020 Village Booth #3 Internet Rights and Principles Coalition<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2020-village-booth-3-internet-rights-and-principles-coalition>

Minda
