 With August 12th (Friday) being the 35th anniversary of IBM’s first personal computer, I just wanted to follow up and see if you would be interested in an infographic that shows how engineers are allowing the web to grow and ensuring that we do not run out of IP addresses.

 As you may know, August 12th is the 35th anniversary of IBM’s first personal computer and gives us the opportunity to realize how far this technology and the world wide web has come. As technology continues to develop, the need for more IP addresses is sure to expand and despite this incredible progress, the global demand for IP addresses will soon outweigh the number of addresses that are available. The New Jersey Institute of Technology have created an infographic ( http://tx.bz-mail.com/1/l/7a408f03b88e4a0e9203d2eccaec0ba3?rl=http%3A%2F%2Fgraduatedegrees.online.njit.edu%2Fmsee-resources%2Fmsee-infographics%2Fwe-need-engineers-ensuring-the-web-doesnt-run-out-of-addresses%2F ) that shows what electrical engineers are doing to replace the current IPv4 system and ensuring that we a system that will offer an almost infinite number of IP addresses and allow for the internet to grow with the demand. This informative infographic will inform your reader on the differences between the outdated IPv4 system and the new IPv6 system and also explain why the adoption of this upgrade will provide incredible benefits within business. The graphic also explains to the reader why a slow adoption of IPv6 could lead to diminished internet security. IPv4 was developed in the 1970’s, decades before widespread use of the internet when security a non issue, this coupled with the fact that 44% of U.S. companies experienced some cybercrime in 2014 shows how important the adoption of IPv6 is if the internet is to become more secure.
