Dear Lisa, Meryem and Wolfgang
Thank you for the rationale that both of you have presented. Both are pointing
to the possible risk of unresponsiveness from our own IRP members which is a
reality !
I do understand both of your points and recognize this to be a possibility
--weighing all forces at play ! If that were to occur we would be delayed in
the progress of the Charter. I agree with both of you that this would not be a
good outcome...
We are all working for the best outcome so we are united in this. Perhaps we
might ask how should we handle the elements in the charter that are untenable.
It is not necessary for us to be divided on this but to address some of the
concerns. Would "tidying up " take care of it ?

Thank You for all Your good efforts and thanks to everybody who cares about the
charter project.
I personally would favor option 1, but if the group is very divided we could
always try to have some combination.
I appreciate the dynamics which developed since Vilnius where we got a very
positive feedback in the workshop and after on the first draft, but the problem
I experienced in the past is that it is difficut to secure a good follow up as
often invitations to contribute remained without much response.
I believe that the charter and the punchy text could benefit from each other but
need to be coherent.
Any suggestions for improvements of the charter are welcome and should arrive by
end of October, so that the team working on the draft can review them, come back
to proposers with comments or organize a phone conversation to clarify issues.
And the punchy group should go on with their efforts in parallel. Once they have
a draft, comments can be invited from others.
