[IRP] IRP meeting - Geneva May 9th

Great. It's definitely the plan to have a draft to circulate in advance. However, the experts will also be making the most of the opportunity in Geneva to meet face to face, and so will be doing additional work on the morning of the 9th. I'll confirm exactly what we will have in advance and when we can have it as soon as I can.

FYI I'm away next week and won't be able to check emails. I'll be back in touch about the meeting on the 4th May. In the meantime if you have any questions, my colleague Dixie is helping with the logistics and so please feel free to get in touch with her at dixie at global-partners.co.uk. She's on this list, and will also be at the Eurodig so please do say hello if you're there!

All the best,
Lisa

Hi Lisa

I am certainly interested to dial-in.

Also is it possible to have a copy of the current draft beforehand so we can prepare our comments and questions?

Best
Max

Thanks for your suggestions Marilia. Max suggested super cool school too. We'll look into them and choose the one that looks best.

All the best,
Lisa

Dear Lisa,

There are several platforms you could use. We used CoverItLive for the last Geneva OC and it worked really well. People could send comments through the platform of Twitter, since it agreegated all tweets with #igf. DimDim pro trial allows you to gather 50 people, while in Webex trial you can gather 15 atendees.

I know that Max also knows a lot about these platforms.

Best,

Mar?lia

Hi all

Just a quick note to confirm that the IRP meeting is going ahead in Geneva on Sunday May 9th. We need to get an idea of numbers, and also set up the remote participation system. So please could you let me know if you're going to come, either virtually or in person?

We'll be starting around 13.00 Geneva time. If you want to dial in at different times due to time zones or availability, just let me know and we can work around it.

The focus of the meeting will be the Charter of Human Rights and Principles for the Internet. The expert group will be presenting the work they've done, so it's really important that as many of us as possible participate to feed in our ideas and ask questions. There will also be scope to discuss other issues and initiatives, so let me know if there's anything you want to put on the agenda or update the group about.

Does anyone know of any good remote participation systems that we could use...preferably that are free?

Hope you can come!

Lisa
