[IRP] meeting before xmas

Dear All

Thanks everyone who voted, and to those who facilitated this process. I am
happy to serve for two years as well. At this point, later in the string
and also heading into the fog and ice of the festive season, I'd like to
follow up on points raised so far:

1) I support the nomination of Lisa Horner as the new IRP Chair, for all
reasons given!
2) I also would prefer to see the IRP list continue as it is and, for the
meantime where it is. Moreover, I also support calls to keep these
consultations open vs. splitting them up. This is a sound working principle
as rightly pointed out by others, at least for substantive issues that
affect us all. Day to day communications about meeting times etc for SC
members can be done via email as needed as those sorts of things could well
clutter up the larger list.
3) Thanks Robert, and good luck, with the work on the website.
4) Meetings this week will be tricky for me too. Can the SC convene in the
new year, once the shouting is over so to speak? And when we've all, well
me at least, have recharged our batteries? Unplugged our consoles (yes!)
for a bit to spend time with our loved ones?!..;-)

Other than that, thanks to one and all from the outgoing SC and outgoing
Chair. And my warmest wishes to everyone at this time.
yours
MF
