Although the FCForum charter came together quickly, this was largely
because we were physically locked in a room for a day cobbling it
together (and then a couple of weeks of work online to refine it). I
do feel that trying to merge the APC and FCForum charters before
Christmas, purely working online, is over-ambitious.

Before we embark on this, let me go back to the FCForum group and see
whether they agree with this course of action or whether they would
prefer to wait until the APC charter version 2.0 is finalised, and
work towards a unified version 3.0. That way, there would be less
disruption to your schedule at a difficult time of year.
